It's Hari Raya again. Nowadays more and more greetings are done electronically. Raya cards traffic has gone down and seems only for certain groups of the society. Even those 'in love' had deserted the Raya cards. Its almost demise started with the advent of the SMS followed by e-mails. Facebook and other social networking stuff arrived on the scene to make Raya cards even less popular. Now Whatsapp and similar apps brought us to the 'instant news' era, making the world seems smaller and even more bleak news to the Raya cards. Initially in text form, it evolved into picture greeting e-cards. In some ways, we are back to the years gone by where picture cards were the rage albeit in physical form. This year saw the explosion of video cards at least among my circles.
Despite all these development, I can't help noticing Raya cards could still bring cheers and big smile on the faces recipients. I guess there is still hope for the Raya Cards....
SELAMAT HARI RAYA; MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN....
